The UDesign Justice Initiative (UDJI) at the University of Calgary’s School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape (SAPL) is a transdisciplinary, community-led hub transforming how cities are designed, planned, and governed.

Rooted in equity, lived and living experience, and collective problem-solving, UDJI brings together community members, students, researchers, practitioners, and government partners to

reimagine Calgary’s built environment through a justice-driven lens.
